Walt Marston, Managing Partner & Facilitator

Walt Marston has been in the business of providing clients with planning, requirements analysis, process facilitation and data management services for over 20 years. He has a Masters in Urban Planning degree from Michigan State University. In the beginning of his career he specialized in transportation planning and community development. 

Data solutions design and data visualization/mapping have been important components of his work. In the 1990s this involved working with many municipal clients in Grand Rapids and the West Michigan region, particularly on GIS (spatial data mapping) and community networking projects.

In more recent years, the emphasis has been on working with educational, non-profit and business organizations to assess needs, facilitate processes, provide systems for managing client interactions, and reporting performance outcomes. Often this has been in support of accreditation review processes, quality assurance, contract compliance or demonstrating success to funders.

While his work has involved systems analysis, methodology, and technology, to an even greater extent, he is known for his communications, dialogue, writing, collaboration and organizational skills.
