Facilitating Processes
Some facilitation may be done in the context of data management processes or strategic planning, particularly in organizing processes or specifying indicators and measures vis-à-vis objectives. Dialogue facilitation and “discernment” might be needed within these decision-making processes, especially for more troublesome issues, but may also occur in completely separate environments – for example, as part of a community, religious or social justice workshop or conference. In these cases, either a single facilitator or team of facilitators can be deployed.
